Career Readiness through Northeast Texas Career Alliance & Parent Night

Posted Date: 4/11/25 (3:00 PM)

Pewitt CISD is pleased to announce our membership in a groundbreaking collaborative called the Northeast Texas Career Alliance (NTCA). This innovative program will be open to freshmen entering high school in the 2025-26 academic year.

What is NTCA? The Northeast Texas Career Alliance (NTCA) is a collaborative program uniting five school districts, Northeast Texas Community College (NTCC), and local industry partners to offer specialized career pathways for students. These innovative programs provide access to high-demand fields designed to meet the evolving needs of Northeast Texas industries. By combining classroom learning, hands-on training, and work-based learning with local employers, NTCA ensures that graduates have both technical knowledge and real-world experience. Whether students plan to enter the workforce directly after high school with an industry-recognized certificate or continue their education toward an associate or bachelor's degree, NTCA provides a strong foundation for future success.

What This Means for Our Students: This partnership will significantly expand opportunities for our students to gain valuable skills, certifications, and work experience while still in high school. Through NTCA, our students will have access to specialized training in high-demand fields, creating multiple pathways to successful careers.
